A clear path from your first useful idea to a finished product, a sales page, and a tested checkout.

The Beginner Digital Product Launch Bundle
This four-part workflow uses ChatGPT to choose an idea, Claude to draft the product, a PDF to package it, and a sales page to publish it. The bundle includes the prompts, a quality checklist, a sales-page template, and a launch plan. You do not need a large audience to start, but you do need a real customer problem and a way to reach buyers.
One useful step at a time.
- 01Find the problem
- 02Create the product
- 03Write the page
- 04Test the checkout
Step 1: pick a buyer and a narrow problem
Start with a group you understand: new freelancers, local shop owners, first-time managers, hobby gardeners, or another specific audience. Look for a job they repeatedly need to do. A useful first product is often a checklist, template, workbook, short guide, or spreadsheet that saves time or reduces mistakes.
ChatGPT idea prompt
Give me five beginner-friendly digital product ideas for [specific audience] who struggle with [specific task]. For each idea, give the buyer, the exact deliverable, the situation in which they would use it, what they could accomplish in 30 minutes, one reason they might not buy, and a low-cost way to test demand. Avoid generic journals, broad ebooks, and unsupported income claims. Rank the ideas by ease of delivery and ease of reaching buyers.
Choose one idea that passes three tests: (1) you can explain it in one sentence, (2) you can make a useful first version this week, and (3) you know where to find five people who face the problem. Ask those people what they currently use before making the full product.
Step 2: create the product with Claude
Claude product prompt
Help me create a small paid [checklist / workbook / guide / template] for [buyer] who needs to [task]. Their starting level is [level]. The promised outcome is [specific, modest outcome]. First propose a one-page outline and list facts that need verification. After I approve the outline, draft: a clear introduction, concise steps, one worked example, a reusable worksheet or template, common mistakes, and a closing action plan. Write plainly. Do not invent statistics, testimonials, legal or medical advice, or platform rules. Mark claims that require sources. Leave placeholders for my own examples and experience.
Add your real process, screenshots you own, worked examples, and a clear result. Rewrite any section that sounds like generic AI output. Verify factual claims in primary sources. Check that any images, fonts, and third-party material can legally be included. AI can draft a first version; your editing is what makes it accurate and worth paying for.
Pre-export checklist
- The cover names the buyer and outcome clearly.
- The first page says what the reader will be able to do and what they need.
- Every step gives an action, example, or decision rule.
- The links work, and the PDF is readable on a phone.
- You have tested the instructions yourself from start to finish.
- You have permission to use every included image, quote, and template.
Export or print the finished document as a PDF. Open the exported file on a second device; look for broken links, tiny type, clipped pages, and missing fonts.
Step 3: write the sales page
Claude sales-page prompt
Write an honest sales page for the product described below. Include a specific headline, who it is for, the problem it solves, exactly what files the buyer gets, three concrete benefits, a short “how to use it” section, price placeholder, delivery details, and one clear call to action. Avoid guarantees, fake scarcity, invented testimonials, and claims that the product does more than it actually does. Give me a 100-word version and a 300-word version.
Product facts: [paste only verified facts].
Fill-in sales-page structure
Headline: [Buyer] can [specific task] with [product name].
What is inside: [file 1], [file 2], and [worked example].
Use it when: [real situation].
Result: You will leave with [concrete output], provided you complete the steps.
Price and delivery: [price] for instant access to [format].
Button: Get the [product name].
Step 4: choose a store and test delivery
Gumroad lets you create a product page and deliver a digital file. Shopify offers a Digital Products app for file or supported-link delivery within a Shopify store. Compare the current fees, payment eligibility, tax handling, refund controls, and buyer experience before choosing; these change. If you already have a store, use its digital-delivery option. If this is your first product, a simple hosted product page may be enough.
Set the title, description, preview image, product file, price, checkout information, and customer support address. Preview the page as a new visitor. Use the platform’s supported test flow rather than purchasing from your own account if the platform warns against that. Confirm the delivery email and download link work.
A seven-day launch plan
- Day 1: Interview three possible buyers and choose one problem.
- Day 2: Draft the product outline and one worked example.
- Day 3: Build the first complete version.
- Day 4: Ask two target readers to try it; note every confusing step.
- Day 5: Revise, verify facts, and export the PDF.
- Day 6: Publish the sales page and test checkout/delivery.
- Day 7: Share it with the people who asked for it; collect objections and improve.
Track page visits, questions, checkouts, refunds, and customer feedback. If people show interest but do not buy, investigate the offer, price, proof, and audience fit before making another product.
